*The Big Explosion*
There should be a time and a place for everything, it dont even matter where you are. If something would have happened in the city will you be ready for it? What if you see something falling out of the sky will you be prepared for it? Things in life you have to watch out for, if you don't you will never know what's coming ahead. The title of this story is " Hiroshima" and it's by John Hersey. This story talks about a bomb that destroyed Japan. An atomic bomb that distroyed everything and killed thousands of
people. Six survivors that survived from the atomic bomb.
In the beginning of this story it was 15 minutes past eight when the atomic bomb showed up above Hiroshima. Nobody didn't notice anything until they saw something very small in the sky and that's when the atomic bomb set off killing hundreds and thousands of people and it was only six survivors. All six survivors is telling there story individually about what happened. Mr. Tanimoto who's a reverend was one of the six survivors of the atomic bomb. Mr. Tanimoto story was that he would up real early in the morning then he heard something unusual about some nearby towns and warings, but Mr. Tanimoto wasn't the only one hearing these unuswla things. His friends heard them to. Mr. Tanimoto was going around checking and talking to his friends to see if they know what's happening or know what's going on and all of them had different stories or thought that they think was going on or going to happen. This shows that everybody wasn't ready for the atomic bomb that's coming towards the city of Hiroshima.
Then it was five days tell the atomic bomb well show in Hiroshima, everybody including Mr. Tanimoto was getting prepared for the bomb. The day finally came when the atomic bomb set off in the city of Hiroshma, lots of people were hurt and injured. Mr. Tanimoto and others was trying to help the people to the hospital so they can be treated for their injuries. A couple of people did not make it to the hospital so they can be treated, some people did make it but did not last that long. Hundreds of people was wounded that could not walk or get up and that was traped in the burning city of Hiroshima. Mr. Tanimoto bumed into his wife and daughter and was very proud to see them but he was very tired to speek but he wasint tired to hold his family. This shows that some of the people that was in the city lost there hope on trying to survive the bomb.
Later on in the story the city of Hiroshima was destroyed, burning. After twelve days when the bomb went off people was trying to put the city back together the way it was before the atomic bomb came. The city of Hiroshima was fine now. It has been repaired parts of it. Mr. Tanimoto, Dr. Terufumi Sasaki, Father Wilhelm Kleinsorge, Toshiko Sasaki, Dr. Masakazu Fujii and Kiyoshi Tanimoto are the six survivers that survived the atomic bomb. This shows that the six survivers was determined to help and save these people that was in there city. Even though they risk there lives to save them.
